After college, Tyler’s thirst for adventure landed him in Haines Alaska where he spent 7 years commercial fishing for salmon and halibut. While the beauty of Alaska and the Pacific Ocean is breathtaking, the call of the Atlantic with its sandy beaches and warm water eventually drew Tyler back home. For the last six years Tyler has been a charter captain in Wrightsville Beach. Southeast North Carolina has been the perfect combination of sounds, bays and intracoastal waterway channels so reminiscent of the Chesapeake Bay along with the opportunity for adventure only close proximity to the ocean can offer. A 50 ton USCG Captain, Tyler is married with two small boys and spends his whole life on and around the water.
